Specialist motor and rider training - MEET THE TEam

 My name is Alan and I have been in the testing and training industry for over 21 years. I am a FULLY QUALIFIED DVSA Grade 'A'  Approved Driving Instructor. Prior to being an ADI I was a DVSA Driving Examiner on cars and motorbikes. I finished my career with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency as the Local Driving Test Manager for the whole of the SW of Scotland, from Irvine to Stranraer. I conducted many thousands of driving tests on cars and motorbikes and as a result I know exactly what it takes to get YOU through your test. I have set up Specialist Motor and Rider Training to offer top quality MOTORBIKE TRAINING and DRIVING LESSONS.  We know exactly how to ensure that you are a successful learner and go on to be a confident and able driver or rider. We cover West Central Scotland

I'm Kevin and I am a CBT Instructor here at Specialist Motor and Rider Training. I first trained with John back in 2009 to gain my own motorcycle licence. After many years of riding experience I have recently joined SMART Ayrshire and trained with John again to become  a qualified CBT Instructor. Prior to this, I served in the British Army for 11 years. In the Army I learned strong discipline, communication skills, patience and the ability to work calmly under pressure - qualities that are well used in my current role and are evident in my instruction and training style. I have a real passion for motorbikes, rider development, and helping people build confidence both on and off the road. I am known for my calm, patient, and supportive approach to training and I especially enjoy working with riders who may be nervous or lacking confidence when starting their journey. Alongside being a CBT instructor at SMART Ayrshire, I am also currently training with Alan to become a driving instructor in cars, learning from two highly experienced professionals with decades of training and testing knowledge and experience between them. At Specialist Motor and Rider Training we work together to ensure every learner receives high quality training and support throughout their journey into motorcycling or driving.
