Simply put - we aren't teaching you to pass a test, we are teaching you to ride safely for life! A high standard of motorbike training  and motorbike lessons shouldn't cost the earth and our course prices and pay as you go (PAYG) price structure reflect this. 

We want your motorbike training to fit around you, not you fit around us. We have methods, syllabuses and strategies to work with anyone who wants to be a successful learner and rider. To make motorbike lessons more accessible, and due to the cost of living increases we all face, our prices are very competitive and all safety equipment is available. We only use modern and very well maintained machines and high quality safety equipment. We recommend investing in your own helmet and gloves but we do have helmet and glove hire at £10 per day. All other kit is included - jacket and waterproofs as required.

Well - GOOD NEWS - We are offering TASTER SESSIONS for just £25 for an hour in a small group of 2 to 4 people. 

During your Taster Session you will:

• meet the team here at SMART and have a brew and a biccy
• see our facilities in the Main Terminal here at Prestwick Airport
• visit our motorbike training area, right next to the airport runway (extra aircraft information from me is free!!)
• have a seat on the bikes and have a little bit of instruction and get the bike moving, safety equipment is provided
• have your questions / queries / concerns addressed 
• be able to book for your CBT / DAS course where you will get £15 off a CBT or your money back for the taster if you choose to do a DAS course, £25 off
• take advantage of some very special offers

CBT motorbike lessons are normally done in one day with sessions on our training area and on the road. Here are our CBT prices:

• Monday - Wednesday      £100
• Thursday - Sunday          £140
• Extra Session                  £40 (Mon - Wed)   £50 (Thur - Sun)
• Helmet / Glove Hire         £10 per day (jackets / waterproofs provided)

If you don't reach the required standard to be issued with your CBT certificate on the day of your CBT you can take an extra session to sort out any problems highlighted.

Our DAS intensive motorbike training course is normally done Monday - Friday with Module 1 training at the weekend. WE CAN NOW OFFER THIS COURSE AT THE WEEKEND for people who can't get time off in the week. Here are our Direct Access Scheme (DAS) intensive prices:

• £900 - 20 hours over 4 days - this is broken down as 3 x 6 hour training days, 1 hour pre-test, 1 hour Module 1 training and bike hire for your test. This is a start point and you may need extra time if you aren't at the required standard. Extra time is chargeable at £45 per hour. INCLUDES 1x MODULE 1 and 1 x MODULE 2 TEST
• £1050 - One-to-one DAS Course - 17 hours over 4 days, including 1 hour pre-test lesson, 1 hour module 1 training and bike hire for your test. This is broken down as 3 x 5 hour training days, 1 hour pre-test and 1 hour Module 1 training. INCLUDES 1x MODULE 1 and 1 x MODULE 2 TEST

Flexible motorbike lessons to suit you. Module 1 motorbike training sessions normally at the weekend. Here are our Direct Access Scheme PAYG prices:

• £30 / hour Module 1 Training
• £45 / hour Module 2 Training - Min 2 hours

Are you an experienced and regular riding A2 biker? Already a biker, one of us - let us take care of you and your upgrade. If you are thinking of UPGRADING,  we will look after you - how does £500 all in sound for a conversion course from your A2 to a full Cat A and even INCLUDES YOUR MOD 1 and MOD 2 TEST

If you have an A2 with limited experience a little extra time may be required.

Most of our training is done in and around Ayrshire with area familiarisation sessions at your preferred DVSA Driving Test Centre

• Ayr               Module 1 and Module 2
• Shieldhall     Module 1 and Module 2
• Hamilton      Module 2 only

Our Rusty Rider motorbike training course is perfect for those who haven't ridden in a while and want to brush up on their skills.

• £140 for a three hour session with kit and bike hire
• £90 for a three hour session using your own bike

The Rusty Rider course is tailor made to your specific requirements but can cover filtering, slow speed control tidy up, country roads and bends, town riding, delivery / courier rider training, advanced riding techniques or simply a pre season warm up to brush away the winter cobwebs. We understand that every trainee is unique, in fact all our training is totally customer led which is why we offer customised motorbike training options and motorbike lessons to meet your specific needs and goals. Often an assessment session will be recommended with a view to keeping your costs down - for example if you are an experienced rider you may need less training and a course would be charged 'pro-rata'.
