You need:

CBT (valid for 2 years)
L - plates
Restrictions:
You can ride a moped or scooter up to 50cc with a top speed not above 28mph, displaying L plates.
If you pass the DVSA theory test, module 1 and module 2 tests for category AM mopeds / scooters you do not need to show L plates or ever renew your CBT.

Progressive Access means that if you have already passed a motorcycle test you can upgrade to the next category after holding your licence for 2 years, before reaching the age limit for that category. For example -
riders passing an A2 at 19 or 20 can upgrade to a full A at 21 or 22 years old, before the minimum age of 24.
